Flintham Museum is among the nominations in the East Midlands Renaissance Heritage Awards for Nottinghamshire.

The museum looks at rural life through the eyes of a 20th Century village shopkeeper.

Flintham village shop closed in 1982 and the idea of a museum began in 1990 when unsold shop stock was found.

The museum is based in an 18th Century building by the side of the village pond.

The building was originally a school and later became the village Reading Room.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony at Thoresby Courtyard on July 20.
