YMCA new charity shop in the St Mark's Place, Newark, is hiring, and looking for donations
A new charity shop is looking for donations before it opens officially for business.
The YMCA shop is opening in the former Maxisavers premises in St Mark's Place, Newark.
From 9am until 5pm, Tuesday to Friday this week, volunteers will be at the premises — between Poundland and Beanblock café — to accept donations.
They are looking for ladies' and men’s clothes and accessories, books, CDs, DVDs, and general bric a brac.
The shop is also appealing for volunteers to help run the shop.
In addition, it is looking for applicants for the paid role of assistant shop manager.
The shop will be run and managed by YMCA England and Wales, not by YMCA Newark, as all YMCAs are regional and independent charities connected to the larger YMCA E&W group.
