A total of 59 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Ashfield 19,317 (up 62) Bassetlaw 17,463 (up 62) Broxtowe 14,934 (up 59) Gedling 17,186 (up 67) Mansfield 16,928 (up 51) Newark and Sherwood 15,807 (up 59) Rushcliffe 16,338 (up 63) Nottingham city 52,327 (up 135) Nottinghamshire 117,973 (up 423).

In the last seven days there have been 525 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, which is down 32 cases on the previous seven days.

In the latest 24-hour period, there have been no new deaths reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, leaving the total at 226.

According to the latest public data, 8,773,674 (up 38,740) patients in the UK have tested positive and 139,533 (up 72) people have died within 28 days of positive test.
