Coronavirus cases reported in Newark and Sherwood today (Tuesday, September 28) according to Public Health England
Two new deaths and 64 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the district, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
Ashfield 16,633 cases (up 83) Bassetlaw 14,813 (up 88) Broxtowe 13,102 (up 77) Gedling 15,131 (up 67) Mansfield 14,933 (up 74) Newark and Sherwood 13,733 (up 64) Rushcliffe 13,846 (up 77) Nottingham city 48,979 (up 101) Nottinghamshire 102,191 (up 530).
In the last seven days there have been 440 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, which is up 28 cases on the previous seven days.
In the latest 24-hour period, two new deaths have been reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, taking the total to 218.
According to the latest public data, 7,701,715 (up 37,960) patients in the UK have tested positive and 136,208 (up 40) people have died within 28 days of positive test.
The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to September 26 is 48,736,534 (up 14,120) and the total for the second dose is 44,764,324 (up 24,851).
