Nottinghamshire housebuilders Barratt and David Wilson Homes write to Santa to ensure children are on his list

With all the new housing developments that have popped up in the last year, families might worry that Santa won't have updated his delivery maps yet.

Now Barratt and David Wilson Homes have written to Father Christmas to make sure that he knows where to deliver presents.

The housebuilders want jolly old St Nick, Rudolph and his sleigh full of presents to be aware of the new communities they have built across Nottinghamshire. including Fernwood, this festive season.

Rachael Harrison, sales director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “Having met many of the children who have moved to our new developments, we know for a fact they will be on Santa’s nice list.

“We would like to reassure them and their parents that rigorous steps have been taken to notify Father Christmas about their new address.”

NORAD — a military radar system which tracks Santa's movements on Christmas Eve — say his route changes from year-to-year but he generally starts his journey around the International Date Line in the Pacific Ocean and travels west at supersonic speeds to make sure he visits every home in time.

Martyn Parker, sales director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes North Midlands, added: “Santa has a packed schedule on Christmas Eve and we’re pulling out all the stops to make sure our brand new homes are on his map.

"The developments have taken shape since he last flew over, with lots of new families living there, so Santa and his reindeer will have lots to see.”

Families can help encourage Santa to stop by leaving mince pies and sherry out before they head to bed on Christmas Eve.
