New plans for Hoval site

Plans have been put forward for 71 homes on the former Hoval boiler works in Newark.

Nottingham-based Barratt Homes North Midlands has submitted the application, which includes a 124-space carpark, to Newark and Sherwood District Council.

Hoval sold part of its site on Northgate to the developer about five years ago, when it transferred the heavier side of its manufacturing to Lincoln.
