Furniture Warehouse store to open at Kirkgate, Newark
A new business is set to open its doors in Newark at the start of next month after its team were “taken in” by our town’s charm.
Furniture Warehouse will be opening on November 2, at 23-25 Kirkgate, offering a range of furniture options, from dining room tables and chair sets and reclining sofas to full bedroom suites, accessories and all in between.
Alex Raspin, director of sales and marketing at Furniture Warehouse said: “Newark is a perfect fit for us.
“As a thriving, busy market town it fits the exact profile of areas that we have opened in very successfully in the recent past such as Melton Mowbray and Spalding, where we are also very centrally located.
“Newark is a well connected town and crucially for us, expands our reach further north as this will be our first store in Nottinghamshire.
“I had never personally visited Newark until we identified it as a town we’d love to open a store in, and I’ve been really taken in by its charm.
“We’re all really excited about the superb location, seconds away from St Mary Magdalene Church, and the potential of the building itself.”
The furniture store is changing its brand and Newark will be the first shop to have the new branding as the company already has stores in Corby, Melton Mowbray, Peterborough, Spalding and Wisbech.
The grand opening will be on Saturday (November 2) at 9.30am and customers will be presented with some opening offers and an additional 10% discount throughout November.
Alex added: “In these challenging economic times it’s important to recognise that people all across the country have less disposable income than they did 5 or 6 years ago.
“We source products well to ensure that we’re able to offer furniture and the cheapest possible price without compromising on quality and I think that’s why our brand has grown so quickly since we opened our first store in 2021.”
The Newark store will be open seven days a week, Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to 5.30pm and 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sunday.
