Newark Air Museum's outside displays will be open to visitors from tomorrow (Saturday, December 5)
Outside displays at Newark Air Museum will be open to visitors again from tomorrow (Saturday).
The museum, which is next to Newark Showground, has been closed throughout the second covid-19 lockdown.
It will re-open at 10am, but only outdoor exhibits on the 16-acre site can be accessed.
The ticket price will be cut to £5 for adults to reflect the limited access, and the café will have take-away service only. The shop will be open.
During the Christmas holidays the museum, which is a registered charity, will be open on December 5, 6, 9, 12, 13, 16, 19 to 23, 27 to 31, and January 2 and 3, from 10am to 3pm. There is no need to book, but visitors should check for any last-minute changes before they visit.
Howard Heeley from the museum, said: “The museum will not be able to open the two aircraft display hangars, the engine hall or the small object display hall to visitors, so only the outdoor exhibits will be accessible.
“The museum has well-proven covid-secure measures in place, allowing everyone to enjoy a socially-distanced visit in a safe and covid-secure manner.”
