Twenty four coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood according to Public Health England, taking the total to 2,504.
Ashfield 3,078 (up 55) Bassetlaw 3,121 (up 59) Broxtowe 3,043 (up 21) Gedling 3,087 (up 22) Mansfield 2,545 (up 39) Newark and Sherwood 2,504 (up 24) Rushcliffe 3,020 (up 24) Nottingham 15,862 (up 65) Nottinghamshire 20,398 (up 244).
A further person resident in Newark and Sherwood has died within 28 days of testing positive for covid-19, according to the latest public data. It takes the total to 76.
The country is in lockdown. The plan is that restrictions will be eased from Wednesday, December 2. However, if the lockdown has failed to bring the virus under control, measures may have to continue.
Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced the Job Retention Scheme, or furlough, will be extended until the end of March.
According to the latest public data — 1,430,341 patients in the UK have tested positive and 53,274 people have died.
