Number of coronavirus cases in Newark and Sherwood reaches 10,098 today (Friday, July 30) according to Public Health England




A total of 105 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood according to the latest figures from Public Health England, the largest rise of districts in Nottinghamshire.

Ashfield 12,123 (up 80) Bassetlaw 11,041 (up 66) Broxtowe 9,824 (up 47) Gedling 11,337 (up 63) Mansfield 10,181 (up 80) Newark and Sherwood 10,098 (up 105) Rushcliffe 10,252 (up 89) Nottingham city 39,714 (up 212) Nottinghamshire 74,856 (530).

In the last seven days there have been 625 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, which is down 29 cases.

In the latest 24-hour period, there has been one new death reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, taking the total to 204.

According to the latest public data, 5,801,561 (up 31,117) patients in the UK have tested positive and 129,515 (up 85) people have died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to July 28 is 46,733,115 (up 43,873) and the total for the second dose is 37,782,252 (up 171,341).
