Final countdown to Newark Business Awards 2022

The wait is almost over to discover this year’s winners of Newark Business Awards.

The judging is over, the trophies are prepared and the stage is set for tonight's gala ceremony when all the winners will be revealed.

Around 300 people are due to attend the black-tie event at the Lady Eastwood Centre, Newark Showground.

The black-tie affair offers the perfect opportunity to socialise and network and. most importantly, celebrate the very best in business from across the district.

A champagne reception from 6.30pm will launch proceedings, ahead of the welcome speeches.

After a three-course meal, the important business of the evening will start ­— the awards ceremony, which is once again compered by BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s Melvyn Prior.

Independent judges have analysed the entry packs and visited all the finalists to find over-all winners and highly commended in ten categories ­— Business of the Year, Businessperson of the Year, Employer of the Year, Team of the Year, Best Start-up, Environmental Champion, Best Social Enterprise, Business Innovation, Customer Care, and Best Independent Retailer.

In addition, the winner of the Judges’ Prestige Award will also be named.

Launched this year in conjunction with our headline sponsor, Motorfinity, the award can be given to any of our finalists.

The winners will receive a trophy made by students at Newark College and a certificate.

And the night isn’t over when the final winner is announced.

A disco will close proceedings, giving guests the chance to continue the celebrations.
