Residents welcomed at Hope Community Methodist Church, Newark, open day

A church will be opening its doors to the community on Saturday.

The Open Door event at Hope Community Methodist Church on Barnbygate hopes to bring residents together for a day of activities.

From 10am until noon, elderly people are invited to go along and meet and make friends.

Family fun will take place from 1pm through until 3pm with a series of arts and crafts and tea and coffee for the grown ups.

Later in the afternoon will provide a chance for all community members come together to chat about the future of the church.
