It follows the closure of the A1 northbound after flooding between North Muskham and Apleyhead, near Worksop.

The issue is on-going and Highways England are working to clear the road.

A spokesperson said: "The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning in place until Friday, November 8, at 6am.

"Our ability to reopen the road will depend on the severity of the conditions at the scene.

"We are working closely with our Met Office colleagues to ensure we are working with the most accurate information possible.

"We will endeavour to keep you informed however for all weather forcasts."

A diversion is currently in place.

For traffic approaching the A1 towards North Muskham, delays of at least 30 minutes are expected.

AA maps suggests both the A17 and A46 are experiencing heavier traffic than usual, while traffic in the town centre is reported as slow moving because of the incident on the A1.
