Newark Police officers monitor town's speeding hotspots

Officers have been monitoring the speeds of cars in Newark today (Tuesday).

Magnus and Devon teams went out with speed detection devices this morning following concerns from residents that drivers were not following 30mph limits.

Speeds were monitored on Boundary Road, Hawton Road, Lime Grove and in the village of Elston.

Newark Police said on Facebook: "Officers would also like to remind motorists that the roads into Newark — Lincoln Road, Farndon Road, Hawton Road, Bowbridge Road, London Road and Barnby Road — all have a maximum limit of 30 mph when you enter the boundaries of the town."
