More news, no ads

Newark's roads policing unit were quick to pick up a possible drink-driver on New Year's Eve.

However, it turned out he didn't want to stop for officers.

The driver was soon arrested and has now been found guilty of failing to stop, resisting arrest, having no licence or insurance and failing to provide a sample of breath.

The passenger was quickly rounded up too. He was wanted by Staffordshire Police.
