The above order, made on 12th July 2018 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will extinguish the public footpath commencing from a point SK 7022 5347, at the junction with the remainder of Southwell Footpath No17 and proceeding initially in a south easterly direction and then turning to a south westerly direction and then westerly direction for a distance of 230 metres until it reaches the point, SK 7019 5333, at the junction with the remainder of Southwell Footpath No17 and create an alternative footpath commencing from a point SK 7019 5346, at the

junction with Southwell Footpath No.104 and proceeding in a southerly direction for a distance of

125 metres on a natural surface to a point, SK 7019 5333, at the junction with the remainder of Southwell

Footpath No.17 and having a width of 1.2 metres.

A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Newark & Sherwood District Council, Castle House, Great North Road, Newark, NG24 1BY from 9.00am to 5.00pm on Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £10.

Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to Karen White, Newark & Sherwood District Council, Castle House, Great North Road, Newark, NG24 1BY not later than 30th August 2018. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Newark & Sherwood District Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
