NHS Spitfire to fly over Newark Hospital this evening with names of everyday heroes

Aircrafts will fly over Newark Hospital this evening as part of a fundraising tour of the country's hospitals.

The restored Spitfire, which is dedicated to the NHS, will boast the names of loved ones who have gone above and beyond during lockdown.

At 5.42pm it is scheduled to fly past Newark Hospital.

A spokesperson for the Aircraft Restoration Company said: "We hope to see as many of you as possible throughout the duration of this project and will be flying a number of different routes across the UK mainland over the summer.

"If we are not coming to skies near you on this occasion then please keep an eye on our page and hopefully we will be getting a little closer on a later route."
