A dynamic dancing doggy duo are preparing to show off their skills on the world stage.

Nicci Hindson, 30, and her dog Elsa have been selected to represented Great Britain at the upcoming Heelwork to Music (HTM) World Championships competition in Stuttgart.

Nicci has three dogs, Leo, 13, Nala, 8, and now Elsa, 3, all red and white Border Collies, who she has performed with over the years.

Elsa genuinely loves performing, Nicci said, and as is a common trait with Border Collies enjoys the work aspect of the HTM as collies enjoy the stimulation and having their brains worked.

"It's all about rewards," she explained, "Elsa isn't a very food-orientated dog but she loves toys and her favourite reward will be a game with one of her toys, so when she's done something right we'll have a game as a reward."

Nicci and Elsa are first preparing for a show they will be performing in on Sunday night to help raise money for their trip to the World Championships.

The show, entitled the Wizard of Pawz, will be taking place at the Robin Hood theatre in Averham and is being organised by Nicci and Lucy Creek, who came second in the freestyle HTM at Crufts, and will see Elsa and her other canine team members strutting their stuff on-stage along side human singing and dancing stars.

Tickets are still available and can be obtained by logging on to www.rhtc.co.uk
