BBD Newark Ninjutsu to return to indoor training at Sea Scout Headquarters in Farndon

A ninjutsu group has announced it will be returning to indoor training from this weekend with the introduction of a new class for children.

Members of BBD Newark Ninjutsu have been training outdoors at Sconce and Devon Park throughout the summer.

From Sunday they will have access to an indoor training facility at the 6th Newark Sea Scout Headquarters in Farndon.

Group founder Kiyth Fotitt said: “Apart from meeting other like-minded people, you pick up lots of skills and experiences that you wouldn’t normally get.

"I think people come for exercise, new skills, to build confidence and to prepare themselves for any self defence situation they may find themselves in.

“People find that they acquire skills that they never even imagined that they would do.”

Indoor classes will be held on Sundays, and include a mixture of indoor and outdoor training.

Kiyth has also introduced a new class, Ninja Kyds, for children from aged six.

As part of the new classes, children will be learning from games and experiences, rather than specific techniques associated with Ninjutsu.

Children aged 6-12 are invited to train with BBD Newark Ninjutsu from 11am until 12pm every Sunday. Adult classes, from 12 upwards, are from 10am to 12pm on the same day.
