On 16th July 2018 the Nottinghamshire County Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 118A of the Highways Act 1980 (as amended by the Transport and Works Act 1992) and Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Country-side act 1981.The effect of the Order as confirmed is to extinguish the public right of way running from a point, SK 8017 5510, the junction with Newark Bridleway No.5 and Newark Bridleway No.6 on the east side of the concrete bridge over the River Trent, and proceeding for a distance of 225 metres in a generally east-south-easterly direction over Hatchets Lane/Whitehouse Lane Level Crossing to a point, SK 8038 5503, midway along Hatchets Lane, as shown on the Order Map.The Order also modifies the Nottingham-shire Definitive Map and statement by deleting from it all reference to Newark Footpath No.11.A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order Map may be seen free of charge at my Office at the address below be-tween 9.00 am and 4.30 pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive and at the office of Newark and Sherwood District Council, Castle House, Great North Road, New-ark, NG24 1BY and at Newark Public Library, Beaumond Gardens, Balderton Gate, Newark, NG24 1UW during their respective normal opening hours until 13th September 2018. Copies of the Order and Map may be purchased from my Office at the address below at a cost of £5 per copy.The Order came into force on 16th July 2018, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act, as amended, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 2nd August 2018, make an application for the purpose to the High Court.DATED 2ND AUGUST 2018 The Countryside Access Team Nottinghamshire County Council County Hall West Bridgford Nottingham NG2 7QP Corporate Director – Place Nottinghamshire County Council County Hall West Bridgford Nottingham NG2 7QP
