Newark and Sherwood ranks fifth in Nottinghamshire for new start-up businesses, according to data from Companies House and the Office for National Statistics




Figures have revealed more than 620 business were formed in Newark and Sherwood last year.

The data, from Companies House and the Office for National Statistics, ranked the district as fifth out of Nottinghamshire’s seven districts and boroughs for start-ups with 622.

Rushcliffe had 807, Mansfield, 697, Bassetlaw, 640, Gedling, 639, Broxtowe, 606, and Ashfield, 523.
