Children at Balderton Village Day Nursery receive thank you letter Kensington Palace after sending Get Well Soon cars to Catherine, The Princess of Wales

A day nursery was surprised to receive a letter from a real princess.

Children at Balderton Village Day Nursery were extremely excited when a thank you letter arrived in the post from Kensington Palace.

A few weeks ago they the children sent Catherine, Princess of Wales some 'Get Well Soon' cards through the post after hearing about her health struggles, and enjoyed walking around the village to find the postbox.

They were then surprised to receive a response from the royal, which read: “Thank you for your kind well wishes to Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales. Your thoughtful gesture is very much appreciated.”

Once they had received the letter the children then had fun looking for photographs of the princess and learning lots of different facts about her.

The letter has now taken pride of place at the nursery.
