Pupils at Balderton Village Day Nursery went pumpkin picking at Maxey’s Farm Shop

Pupils at a nursey went pumpkin picking at a popular farm in the district.

Balderton Village Day Nursery took their students to Maxey’s Farm Shop in Kirklington.

The children took a ride across the field on the tractor, in which they saw haybale spiders and skeletons riding bikes.

They also played on the pumpkin bouncy castle at the farm.

The group returned to the nursery with six pumpkins of different sizes to carve and make their own display outside.

A spokesperson at the nursery said: “These kinds of trips are fantastic for the children as they are able to do something that they may not get to experience.”
