Obstruction on road causes issues for drivers on the A1 near Newark, Nottinghamshire

Reports of queueing traffic due to an obstruction on a major road are seeing delays of around 15 minutes.

The incident has occurred on the A1 Northbound between the B6326 Great North Road (Balderton / Claypole Turn Off) and Lavender Way (Coddington Turn Off).

The obstruction is affecting traffic heading towards Newark.

Average speeds have dropped to ten mph.
