Obstruction on the road between Kelham and Newark both ways on the A617 is causing issues for drivers in that part of Nottinghamshire

An obstruction on the road is causing issues for drivers.

Queueing traffic due to the obstruction has caused problems on the A617 both ways between the A46 (Cattlemarket Roundabout ) and Kelham Bridge.

The area affected is between Newark and Kelham.

Drivers are advised to exercise caution.

Update 8pm – reports have come in that the road is flooded.
