Police appeal after Rumbles Cafe, at Sconce and Devon Park, Newark, is burgled




Police are appealing after a cafe in Newark was burgled.

The till and safe at the Rumbles Cafe at Sconce and Devon Park, Newark, were targeted ­— with £260 being stolen.

Damage was also caused to two sheds ­— one owned by Rumbles and the other Park Run ­— as well as a window where offenders made entry into the cafe.

It is believed the incident took place between late on Monday, March 29, and the early hours on Tuesday, March 30.

Rumbles Cafe is an independent not-for-profit cafe that provides employment and training opportunities to people who are disadvantaged, providing them with the opportunity and skills to undertake further training on a number of courses.
