Newark and Sherwood District Council workers were covering a graffiti on Boar Lane, Newark this morning




Council workers have been covering up graffiti in a town centre this morning.

During the weekend, vandals scrawled drawings and offensive language on a wall on Boar Lane, Newark.

Newark and Sherwood District Council workers removed the graffiti from the wall this morning at around 7.30am.

Council’s street scene supervisor Martin Chapman said: “It was offensive graffiti and it was reported overnight.

“We started removing it within an hour of knowing about it.”
