Council workers have been covering up graffiti in a town centre this morning.
During the weekend, vandals scrawled drawings and offensive language on a wall on Boar Lane, Newark.
Newark and Sherwood District Council workers removed the graffiti from the wall this morning at around 7.30am.
Council’s street scene supervisor Martin Chapman said: “It was offensive graffiti and it was reported overnight.
“We started removing it within an hour of knowing about it.”
