Newark primary school William Gladstone Church of England Academy's leadership was praised by Ofsted inspectors in a recent inspection
Improvements at a Newark primary school have been commended by Ofsted inspectors.
Although William Gladstone Church of England Academy was judged to be requiring improvement overall, the inspection found the school to be rapidly improving since the new leadership started less than a year ago.
Head Sarah Clarke was praised as having recognised quickly what was needed to tackle the school’s weaknesses, and the inspector’s report said she had provided high-quality training for staff to improve teaching reading and writing.
