Total of 165 coronavirus cases reported in Newark and Sherwood today (Wednesday, January 12) according to Public Health England

A total of 165 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Ashfield 30,088 (up 283) Bassetlaw 26,897 (up 270) Broxtowe 25,614 (up 191) Gedling 28,850 (up 227) Mansfield 26,145 (up 242) Newark and Sherwood 26,939 (up 165) Rushcliffe 27,936 (up 206) Nottingham city 80,755 (up 589) Nottinghamshire 192,469 (up 1,584).

In the last seven days there have been 2,126 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, this is down 223 cases from the previous seven-day period.

In the latest 24-hour period, there has been one new death reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, taking the total to 251.

According to the latest public data, 14,732,594 (up 120,821) patients in the UK have tested positive and 150,609 (up 379) people have died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to January 10 is 51,992,559 (up 17,954) the number with the second dose is 47,745,458 (up 26,728) and the booster 35,813,659 (up 149,495).
