Chilli farmers Bob and Neal Price, of Rolleston, are opening their farm for charity on Sunday.

Visitors will be able to see more than 50 varieties of chilli, growing in pots using hydroponics and aquaponics systems.

The chillies’ colour, form and taste, which range from very mild to hot, will be explained, and chillies, plants and homemade chutney will be on sale.

Visitors can taste samples of the sauces and chutneys, and start the 2018 pick-your-own season with raw chilli tasting.

ChilliBobs Chilli Farm, at Orchard Farm, Fiskerton Road, will be open from 10am to 4pm in aid of the British Red Cross.

Admission is £2.50 per adult, children under-12 free.

ChilliBobs’ next open day for the charity is on October 13.
