Total of 177 coronavirus cases reported in Newark and Sherwood today (Saturday, January 22) according to Public Health England




A total of 177 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Ashfield 31,666 (up 172) Bassetlaw 28,714 (up 220) Broxtowe 27,009 (up 259) Gedling 30,288 (up 155) Mansfield 27,968 (up 162) Newark and Sherwood 28,570 (up 177) Rushcliffe 29,633 (up 157) Nottingham city 84,856 (up 374) Nottinghamshire 204,375 (up 1,178).

In the last seven days there have been 1,057 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, this is up nine cases from the previous seven-day period.

In the latest 24-hour period, there have been three new deaths reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, leaving the total at 261.

According to the latest public data, 15,709,059 (up 95,776) patients in the UK have tested positive and 153,490 (up 288) people have died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to January 19 is 52,186,398 (up 17,806) the number with the second dose is 48,082,636 (up 33,674) and the booster 36,753,644 (up 65,203).
