Total of 208 coronavirus cases reported in Newark and Sherwood since May 3, according to Public Health England

A total of 208 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood since May 3, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Since the start of the pandemic, Ashfield has seen 42,638 cases (up 107 ) Bassetlaw 39,667 (up 131) Broxtowe 37,767 (up 153) Gedling 40,710 (up 125) Mansfield 38,018 (up 111) Newark and Sherwood 39,320 (up 208) Rushcliffe 41,452 (up 137) Nottingham city 109,732 (up 274) and Nottinghamshire 279,572 (up 972).

There have now been a total of 308 deaths reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus.

In the last seven days, 75,525 patients (22,140,287 total) in the UK tested positive and 1,105 people (176,424 total) died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to May 4 is 53,264,512, the number with the second dose is 49,780,389, and the booster 39,345,313.
