Reader’s letter: Parish work is praised

It has been a busy few months for Balderton Parish Council and especially for our new councillors.

As with any new role, it takes time to understand the job, learn about policies and procedures and undertake any training required.

We must also not forget that some of our councillors have taken on this new position on top of their day-time employment.

However, they have embraced this new challenge and have been in the community talking and listening to residents.

But even with the best will, change does not happen overnight.

While this is frustrating for all concerned, I for one, am confident that they are all working very hard for the good of our community.

So, I would like to take the opportunity to thank Balderton Parish Council for all their achievements thus far, and ask them to continue to keep-up the good work they have started, no matter how hard the challenges that may be thrust at them. — J. P. VAUGHAN, Balderton.
