Permission sought to build eight homes

By Advertiser Reporter

Eight homes could be built on an unused parcel of land near one of the main routes into Newark.

Mani Developments Ltd has applied to Newark and Sherwood District Council for permission to build eight homes on 0.15 hectares to the east of Top Row, off Beacon Hill Road.

Six two-bedroom homes, a three-bedroom home and a four-bedroom home are proposed, along with 19 parking spaces.

Members of Newark Town Council’s planning committee did not object.

Chairman Mr Tony Roberts said: “It doesn’t look like it has been shoehorned in.”

The district council will decide the application.
