East Midlands Ambulance is in attendance at an incident at Newark Northgate train station after a person was hit by a train, disputing East Midlands Railway services
Emergency services are currently at a Newark train station after a person was hit by a train.
East Midlands Ambulance received a call at 3.47pm today (January 9) to Newark Northgate station.
A spokesman at East Midlands Ambulance said: “The caller reported a medical emergency. We sent a paramedic in a solo response car and a double-crewed ambulance, and we are currently still on scene.”
East Midlands Railway services between Leicester-Nottingham-Lincoln were disrupted.
Services between Leicester-Nottingham are running, with a reduced service between Nottingham and Newark Castle.
Services between Newark Castle and Lincoln are unable to run. A rail replacement has been in place since 6.10pm.
British Transport Police has been approached for further information.
