Plans for extension to Newark Industrial Estate off Brunel Drive submitted to Newark and Sherwood District Council
Plans to extend Newark Industrial Estate with a new site off Brunel Drive have been announced.
The application, which will be submitted to Newark and Sherwood District Council in the coming weeks, includes two new buildings with a total employment floor space of 63,834sq metres.
The applicant, Equation Properties, said the buildings would be of a high-quality design that raises the standard of industrial design in the area.
Each unit would have its own parking facilities.
The development could also create up to 925 new full-time equivalent, plus additional employment opportunities during construction.
It also suggests additional benefits such as sensitive landscape buffering along the site boundaries and the provision of cycle spaces and EV charging spaces to encourage sustainable travel.
New access will also be provided off Brunel Drive on to Jessop Way, which serves the industrial park, with links to the A1.
