LEARN MOREMothers and their children enjoyed a morning playing together to raise funds for a good cause.
Glenice Woods, from Newark, organised a play session at Balderton Methodist Church on Wednesday to raise funds for Nottinghamshire Sands (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death) a cause close to the group’s hearts as one of the families who uses the play group has suffered the loss of a baby.
The event, which saw the children dress in pink and blue, raised £34 for the charity.
During the morning the children coloured in love hearts and made collages with stars and hearts, followed by a free play session.
Glenice said: “We had a lovely morning and we had some great feedback from the parents.
“It was nice as everyone was able to open up and share their experiences and support each other, as baby loss affects so many people.”
