Nottinghamshire Police investigate Hawtonville burglary and arson which they believe are linked





Detectives are investigating an aggravated burglary and arson in Hawtonville, which they believe are linked.

Nottinghamshire Police were called to St Mary's Gardens at around 9.40pm on Wednesday (January 2) following reports that a man was punched in the face and threatened with a crowbar.

A motorbike was then stolen.

A van fire then occurred in Churchill Drive at around 3.45am yesterday morning (January 3).

If you saw anything suspicious in these areas around the time the incidents happened, please call us on 101 quoting incident 853 of January 2.

Officers are also keen to hear from drivers of vehicles in the area or of parked cars which might have dash cam footage.
