Nottinghamshire Police appeal launched to find man after door smashed at a pub in Newark




The police are seeking the public’s help after a door was smashed at a pub in Newark.

A member of the public became aggressive after being refused service due to his seemingly drunken state on Sunday (September 14).

After threatening a staff member, he kicked an internal door, causing its glass window to break.

Nottinghamshire Police officers believe the pictured man will be able to assist the investigation and have pursued a number of lines of enquiry in an effort to trace him.

PC John Chappell, of the Newark neighbourhood policing team, said: “This kind of behaviour will not be tolerated and it is important we find the person responsible for damaging the door.

“We have pursed a number of lines of inquiry to trace the offender and are now turning to the public’s help.

“Having reviewed CCTV, we are satisfied the man in these images will be able to assist us with our inquiries into this incident.”

People with any information about the man’s whereabouts or who he is are asked to get in touch with the police by calling 101 and quoting incident 25*543620.
