Nottinghamshire Police appeal to the public after a popular Christmas display in Coddington was damaged when one of its inflatables was stolen




Nottinghamshire Police have made a statement about the theft that happened two nights ago (Tuesday) from a popular Christmas light display.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson said: “We have received reports of an inflatable Santa being stolen from outside an address in Coddington.

“The theft is believed to have taken place from a house in Beckingham Road, at some point between 8pm on Tuesday (5 December) and 9am on Wednesday (6 December).

“Anyone who has any information is asked to call the police on 101, quoting incident 353 of 5 December 2023.”

The organisers have publically stated that if something similar happens again they will stop with the event.

The reaction from the public has been overwealmingly positive with many offering sympathy and some annoyed that it has happened.

Many people commenting on social media said that they had fond memories of the place growing up or taking their own children there.
