Roads policing officers recovered 'copious' amounts of stolen fuel from a Mercedes van.

A Nottinghamshire roads policing unit spotted the suspicious vehicle parked up near Muskham.

Officers said the driver clearly went through the process of fight or flight as the vehicle clocked the marked police car and then made off.

A large amount of stolen fuel was later recovered from the van, which was then seized. Inquiries are ongoing.
