Police warning over dangerous drugs

By Newark Advertiser

The missing drugs.
The missing drugs.

Police investigating the theft of a Land Rover from the Newark area have recovered the vehicle in Staunton-in-the-Vale, but the contents of the large animal euthanasia kit have not all been recovered.

A 50ml bottle of the drug Somulose is unaccounted for.

Police warn the drug, which was part of a medical kit in the vehicle, is harmful to health and can cause death in humans.

Anyone who finds the drug, or knows where it is, should contact the police, so it can be recovered.

Alternatively, take the drug to a police station, although extreme care should be taken when handling the bottle to avoid contact with the liquid.

Anyone with information should contact Nottinghamshire Police quoting incident 191 of June 9.
