Complaints have been made about the lack of public toilets in Newark.

It is claimed that having only one in the immediate town centre is insufficient.

However, the councils say Newark is well-served for public toilets, with facilities at the castle, Sconce and Devon Park and riverside carpark, as well as in supermarkets, bars and caf├ęs in the town centre.
