Children at Balderton Village Day Nursery mark Remembrance Day with a trip to St. Giles Church

Pupils at a nursery learned about the importance of Remembrance Day and created their poppies.

At Balderton Village Day Nursery, children marked the date as they created the flowers using different methods including collage, hand printing and decorating paper plates.

All the children went on a walk to St. Giles church, Balderton to see the poppy wall and learn about why we honour and remember the fallen.

Explorers had a go at a minute silence whilst listening to the bugle.

Lucy Cook, manager at the nursery said: “It was a lovely experience for the children to see the poppies at the church. They were fascinated by how many have been made and they tried to count them.”
