Popular pop-up market adds Fernwood venue to list of locations
A pop-up market will be adding another venue to its list of locations next month.
Blanche’s Pop-Up Market, which incorporates items from local businesses, has regularly popped up in Collingham and East Bridgford.
Now, it is set to start a new venture in Fernwood.
The market will be taking place at Fernwood Village Hall on Monday, September 27, from 10am until 3pm.
There is room for 24 stalls and a wide variety of goods from independent businesses will be available — including cakes, fresh bread, wellbeing, soft interiors and clothing.
Organiser Louise Clark used to trade at Newark Market as Blanche’s Vintage Boutique, named after her grandmother, but found less people were using it.
Instead, she decided to bring the market to the people.
She said: “I decided to take things to the people by taking a market to village locations.”
The pandemic meant all of the pop-up markets had to stop and were unable to begin trading again until July 2021.
Louise said: “I’m really lucky because we have a really supportive team of stall holders and they all stayed with me (during pandemic) and said as soon as everything is back to normal, they will be back.”
The markets are now fully back up and running, and also bring a pop-up tea room with them for people to stop and chat.
The market hopes to return to Fernwood on October 18, November 22 and December 13.
