Thoresby Park teams up with Plant Hunters’ Fairs to provide free plant fair
Plant enthusiasts can indulge their passions for free this weekend, writes Amalie Wood-Williams.
Thoresby Park has teamed up with Plant Hunters’ Fairs to provide garden lovers with a free plant fair on Sunday (July 6), running from 10am to 4pm.
Plant Hunters’ Fairs now has the country’s largest line-up of plant fairs with 30 events between March and September spanning eight counties.
The fair will offer a wide range of plants including bee-friendly perennials, shrubs, plants for shade, alpines, roses, wildflowers, herbs, grasses, variegated or foliage plants, with experts on-hand to give advice on choosing and growing the right plants for your garden.
There will also be a range of garden accessories available.
The event will be held in Thoresby Park, which has much to offer in its 1,000 acre grounds, including a Victorian Courtyard where there are working crafts people, shops, a licensed restaurant and coffee shop, military museum and an acclaimed Gallery featuring regional, national and international artists.
Martin Blow of Plant Hunters' Fairs said that the event will offer something to “create a blooming brilliant garden”:
"We are excited to be returning to this wonderful venue. The summer plant fair at Thoresby Park has become a firm favourite in garden lovers’ diaries and is always popular with visitors.
“The line-up of nurseries is our biggest ever with a brilliant range of the best independent plant nurseries from near and far including RHS medal winners & National Collection Holders.”
