Dixons Carphone, based in Newark's Knowhow centre, donates iPads to Halam Church of England Primary School




A donation of iPads has been made to a primary school.

Halam Church of England Primary School received the ex-demonstration and refurbished iPads from Dixons Carphone, based at the Knowhow distribution centre in Newark.

Head Mrs Erica McGinley said: “This is a wonderful donation. The children will be able to use the iPads to develop their ICT skills.

“They will also be able to use them to support their learning across the whole curriculum.

“We would like to say a big thank you for this generous donation.

“Particularly with the changes in education and learning at the moment, as most children are learning remotely, we are relying on children having confidence and access to technology.

“We use iPads each day in our learning in school.

“We have also been able to give families devices to use at home for their remote learning.”

School secretary Mrs Kate Lincoln said: “These are a fantastic resources to aid the children’s learning, many thanks for Dixons Carphone’s contribution to our children’s learning.”
