Newark's Suthers School pupils say Hello Yellow for YoungMinds UK

Pupils and staff at The Suthers School, Fernwood, dressed in yellow to mark World Mental Health Day.

They showed their support for YoungMinds UK, a mental health charity for young people, by adding a touch of yellow to their uniforms.

It was organised by year 11 student Georgia, who is the student charity representative.

She said: “When I heard about the Hello Yellow Day through social media, I immediately knew it would be a vital event to hold at our school, to show students they are not alone with their mental health struggles.”

“Mental health is a very prevalent issue in teens, and it’s extremely important for students to know where and how to access help.”

The day helped to raise awareness of mental health and show young people struggling that they are not alone.
