Parkgate Academy, Ollerton, raises £300 with charity carwash at Dixon & Young vets

Children raised £300 for their school with a charity carwash ­— in which they were given a helping paw.

Pupils at Parkgate Academy, Ollerton, held the carwash at Dixon & Young vets to raise money for school funds.

And they were helped by labrador Twix ­— owned by vet Natasha Young ­— who was keen to help polish wheel trims.

Among their customers was Pc Ami Minton, who asked for her police car to be cleaned.

Money raised will be spent on new outdoor play equipment.

Mr Reece Davy, Principal of the Parkgate Academy, said: “What a great way to raise funds for our fabulous school.

“The children and staff showed enthusiasm and commitment. A big thank you to Dixon & Young for their support too.”
