As part of Children’s Mental Health week, children at Dean Hole Primary School, Caunton, have all been given their own Buddy Bears.

A message sent to parents and children read: “Something ‘beary’ exciting has been happening at school today — we have some new pupils who are very excited to meet you all.

“These mischievous little bears have been busy helping your teachers to prepare your school work and have even been outside for a sneaky play in the playground.

“Buddy will help to keep you company until we are all back together.”

The bears were provided by Friends of Caunton and delivered to each child working from home by a staff member, while teachers handed them to the children in school.
